"Los Locales Tulum" is located in the coastal area of Tulum, Quintana Roo, at KM 8.5 of the Tulum-Boca Paila highway, in a land area of 728m2 with a construction of 290m2. The project began with an existing single-level structure that the client wanted to refresh with a tropical touch and expand by adding rooms on a second level for vacation use and a private rooftop. The design utilized the existing construction, which was reconfigured into six retails. A rear circulation with stairs was added to access the second level, where two apartments with one bedroom each were built.

The design concept was inspired by the vibrant turquoise of the Caribbean Sea, bringing a refreshing feel to the facades. This was harmonized with terracotta colors and lattices, creating a warm and inviting aesthetic. Inside, polished cement and pasta floors were used for visual appeal. The rooftop features hexagon-shaped pergolas, adding distinctive edges and projections to the project.

Designed by Paulina Villa Arquitectura, "Los Locales Tulum" perfectly integrates with the architectural essence of Tulum, blending modern functionality with tropical aesthetics. This renovation not only enhances the usability of the space but also creates a visually striking and cohesive environment, ideal for both commercial and vacation purposes.
