Casa Altamar is a 12-room boutique hotel located on the coast of Tankah Bay in Tulum, Quintana Roo. Situated on a 1236 m² lot with a construction area of 975 m², the project involved remodeling the existing rooms and adding six more. The design aimed to achieve a fresh yet conservative aesthetic, utilizing local woods and contemporary finishes. Polished surfaces, "off white" tones, and raw-textured textiles contribute to the hotel's serene ambiance. The pool area and restaurant were also redesigned to enhance the overall guest experience. Casa Altamar exemplifies architecture in Tulum, blending modern comforts with local materials to create a boutique hotel that offers both luxury and a connection to its natural surroundings. This project highlights the potential of building in Tulum to cater to discerning travelers seeking tranquility and style.
